PAPARAZZI

Hand vs. Camera
It's not ultimately about who is faster. It's about who is more sneaky.

Oh yeah! I totally out-sneaked you!

THE SUN'LL COME OUT, TOMORROW. . .OH, WAIT

Maybe it won't.

Just. Stop. Raining.

ONE SUNNY DAY

We finally had a sunny afternoon on Sunday, long enough to have a great lake adventure. Because the day-use areas are still closed because of the high-waters, we were able to pull the boat up to the sandy shore and let the dogs out to romp around. They were so funny. Sadie was timid at first, but with a little coaxing decided she could swim out to me. Then she started face plunging for rocks and sticks in the shallow water. She was super-cute. Scoop was a nut-ball. She bounded around like a jumping bean. Run, run, run, run, JUMP over Sadie, belly floop, SPLASH! Swim, swim, swim, turn around swim, swim, swim, run, run, run, bOUNCe, JUMP, BouncE, bellyFLOP, SPLASH!

BLUE SKIES

Blue skies and rainbows and sunbeams from heaven
Are what I can see when my Lord is living in me.

I know that Jesus is well and alive today.
He makes His home in my heart.
Never more will I be all alone since He
Promised me that we never would part.

Green grass and flowers all blooming in springtime
Are works of the Master I live for each day.

I know that Jesus is well and alive today.
He makes His home in my heart.
Never more will I be all alone since He
Promised me that we never would part.

Tall mountains, green valleys, the beauty that surrounds me
All make me aware of the One who made it all.

I know that Jesus is well and alive today.
He makes His home in my heart.
Never more will I be all alone since He
Promised me that we never would part.

Blue skies and rainbows and sunbeams from heaven . . .

MISSING YOU

I'm so glad Andrea posted this video. I was missing my favorite niece and the hilarity and fun we had around her for a whole week in Colorado.

I love this video in particular because we watched Dora together and every time the show starts Aubrey dances to the music and throws her hands in the air at the "Yay!" parts and does this hilarious impression of Swiper after he's told "Swiper, No Swiping!" and for a few days, anytime Aubrey saw the portable DVD player, she would begin walking around saying "Dowa, Dowa, Dowa, Dowa."

I have to agree with Andrea that having kid songs stuck in your head is a wee bit annyoing. . . but now that I haven't heard it in a few weeks, it makes me want to sing it and think about the sweetest smile and best giggle I know.

Man I miss that little booger.

PITKIN

We spent a wonderful week in Pitkin over the Fourth of July. Aaron fished and fished and fished; Angela read and read and read; we relaxed, spent a day on Blue Mesa lake, watched fireworks, ate S'mores!, hiked, jeeped, napped, and played with our favorite niece, and the rest of the family too!
