SUPER SCOOP CAME INTO OUR LIVES

On Christmas Eve, Super Scoop came into our lives. She was the cutest little present we received. Aaron came up with the name Scoop because her coat reminds us of a scoop of cookies 'n' cream ice cream! Not to mention she's just as sweet as ice cream.
After a few months of adjusting, Sadie has come to love Scoop and they are best friends.

Pickle Christmas

We played the Pickle Game at my Book Club Holiday gathering. The hostess hides a pickle ornament somewhere on the Christmas Tree, and whoever finds it gets the Pickle Prize! Celeste found the pickle!

Under the Weather

I had a bad cold last week. But Aaron and Sadie took good care of me. Aaron made me soup and jello, and I got to drink O.J. from a straw. And Sadie laid on the couch with me and watched HGTV all day.

The Windy City

We had a great time in Chicago! We went to Navy Pier and looked out over Michigan Lake, rode 1,450 feet to the top of the Sears Tower, ate yummy food, watched UT trample OU in a Chicago Sports Bar, visited the Field Museum and Millenium Park, and even squeezed in a little shopping.

The Field Museum

Sue is the largest most complete fossil of Tyrannosaurus Rex. Sue weighed 6 tons when it was alive. It is not known if Sue was male or female; it is named after the fossil hunter who discovered it.

Sue's skull is so heavy it has to be displayed separately. The skull on the skeleton is a replica.

Along the river

Millenium Park (similar to NYC Central Park); the faces on the fountains changed and were in motion, so the eyes blink, and water squirts out of the mouth sometimes.

This sculpture in Millenium Park was really cool. It was fun to walk around and underneath it to see how your reflection changed.

Aubrey in Austin

Aubrey visited Aunt Gi and Uncle Aaron in September. We got to babysit while Bryan and Andrea went to a wedding. We all had lots of fun!

K-9 Cousins

We have a picture of Putter, the tiniest K-9 Cousin! Turns out he's pretty smart! (Hook 'em!)

Sadie's other K-9 cousin, Doug, has also been a smarty-pants lately.
From Renee' (Doug's mom):
Okay. Doug has officially gotten out of control. He wasn't eating the food we put in his bowl last night and kept looking at me and Casey like he wanted our dinner. He jumped up in the chair across from me when Casey got up and we decided to try and see if he would eat his dinner if he could sit at the table and eat. Needless to say he happily ate his dog food out of his bowl, he just wanted to eat at the table with us. I don't think we should be allowed to have kids anytime soon.
