So Bryan turns thirty today! Now he's more like C-3P0 instead of R2-D2. Andrea threw a surprise party for him on Saturday.

It's Peel & Stick. . . and I ha-elped!

We love our new floor! It makes a HUGE difference in the look of the house. You wouldn't guess that it is peel & stick vinyl planks! We (Darrell, Debbie, Aaron and Angela) pulled up the carpet, pried up the tac strips, scraped, swept, vaccumed and mopped the concrete, THEN the fun began! The new floor is in the living room, down the hall and into the back computer room. Aaron also hung some new blinds in the living room and a new light fixture in the guest bathroom. He's been workin' hard! And a HUGE thanks to Momma and Dad (the lead weekend warriors) for their help, expertise and hard work to get this done!

Zoe Rebecca Brewer

Baby Zoe Brewer arrived Sunday, July 30 at 11:19 a.m. She weighed 8 pounds and is 19 inches long. She has a head full of brown hair, and is just about the cutest little girl you've ever seen! Kristen is a natural Mom, and Rhett was an instant expert at changing diapers and swaddling.

River Rats and Raccoons

Not quite the beach, but togetherness is what counts. My girlfriends and I had a great weekend on our annual trip, complete with our traditional spaghetti dinner. We spent the weekend in Blanco and hung out on the river. It is quite possibly the best weekend of the year - in a category of it's own. We had a surprise visit from three racoons that made us all silly and giggly.

Boat Fever

We recently spent the weekend with Aaron's family at Lake Travis and we both came away with boat fever. Aaron and Trent fished until they could fish no more (which is actually impossible), we ate and ate and ate, and relaxed on the porch of the beautiful house (the brown one to the left of the steps) and enjoyed the view of the lake. We worked off all the extra calories we ate by walking up and down the steps to the boat dock. 106 to be exact. huff*n*puff Aaron and I rented a jet ski (that little dot in the lake picture is us), of which he was successful at throwing me off twice, but he came off with me! It was really fun!
